- 8. How does Voice Proctor protect the integrity of the test taking process?
- Schools can select from a variety of options depending on the level of scrutiny they require. Voice Proctor can randomly call students during their exam and ask them to verbally justify a previously submitted exam answer. This answer is recorded and reviewed for content and speech pattern, as well as compared to the student’s original voice print. Exam questions can also be selected randomly from a pool to present a different set of questions to each student.

- 9. Is proctoring via webcam easier or more effective?
- Not necessarily. Live web proctors are watching as many as twelve test takers at a time. Although having someone watch the student take an exam discourages cheating, it’s expensive to proctor every exam via webcam. Voice Proctor values a student’s privacy. Students can often feel uncomfortable knowing that someone is watching them in the privacy of their home or wherever they may be taking their exam. Voice Proctor’s protocol strikes a perfect balance between exam integrity and student respect.

- 10. Is Voice Proctor burdensome for students?
- Not at all. Voice Proctor is the most convenient proctoring solution on the market. Voice Proctor typically adds only three minutes to the entire exam process.

- 11. Can schools select certain students for proctoring?
- Yes. Students who have taken a number of exams using Voice Proctor are assigned a “Proctor Quality Score” based on their integrity performance. Schools can set a threshold where only students with a given specific “Proctor Quality Score” receive proctoring on a particular exam.

All relevant information is sent to Voice Proctor as soon as the student logs in. Student grades as well are passed directly back to the LMS grade book. Students and instructors can move between Voice Proctor and your LMS in a single click, for a hassle-free user experience.
